Presented by Tyrannus Foundation, the Summit follows a major first-year milestone for the organization’s Tyrannus Angel Awards, which closed its inaugural submission season with 633 entries from creators across more than 80 countries.
For a first-year international AI film competition, the response represents more than a strong debut. It reflects how quickly AI filmmaking is expanding across cultures, markets and creative communities worldwide.
Hundreds of filmmakers are no longer simply discussing what AI might make possible. They are already creating the work.
The next challenge is building the industry around them.
Storytelling Still Comes First
The Tyrannus Angel Awards jury brings together experience across film production, Disney animation, Hollywood visual effects and international storytelling.
The 2026 jury includes David Johnson, Davy Liu, Steven Springer, Ming Pan and Roberts Liardon.
Producer David Johnson has been an advocate for AI’s ability to reduce traditional production barriers and create new opportunities for filmmakers whose stories might otherwise struggle to reach the screen.
Davy Liu, former Disney animator and founder of Kendu Films, brings another equally important perspective. With credits including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Mulan and The Lion King, Liu has long emphasized the importance of story, character and emotional connection.
As cinematic imagery becomes easier to generate, those fundamentals may become even more valuable.
AI can lower the barrier to making a film. It does not lower the standard for making one worth remembering.

Extending the Summit Beyond the Room
AI Film Summit Los Angeles is also partnering with Sisi Hollywood to extend the story of the event beyond the attendees inside City Club Los Angeles.
Founded and hosted by television personality Sisi Cao, an international media personality and television host, Sisi Hollywood is a nationally syndicated television and editorial platform centered on entertainment, culture, and cross-cultural storytelling. The platform reports distribution across more than 150 U.S. television stations, with its programming appearing across broadcast and streaming outlets.
Together, AI Film Summit Los Angeles and Sisi Hollywood will produce a dedicated television special around the October 24 gathering, capturing conversations, creators and defining moments from the Summit for subsequent television and streaming distribution.
